1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Metabolicum (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service
- By creating an account, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
- These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service
2Description of Service
Metabolicum provides privacy-first metabolic health calculators and tracking tools.
Our Service includes:
- TG/HDL Ratio Calculator — cardiovascular risk assessment
- HOMA-IR Calculator — insulin resistance estimation
- WHtR Calculator — body composition metric
- Lab Report Scanner (OCR) — automated value extraction
- Personal dashboard — track your health metrics over time
- Data export — download your data as PDF or CSV
Service Tiers:
Use calculators without saving data. All calculations happen locally in your browser.
Save up to 10 entries per calculator. Access your dashboard and basic features.
Unlimited history, trend charts, PDF/CSV exports, and priority support.
3User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information.
Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding the password you use to access the Service and for any activities under your account.
Account Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
One Account Per Person
You may not create multiple accounts. We reserve the right to terminate duplicate accounts.
Account Sharing
You may not share your account credentials with others. Each user must have their own account.
4User Responsibilities
As a user of the Service, you agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Not use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Not use any robot, spider, or other automated means to access the Service
- Not introduce any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

For Medical Diagnosis
The calculators are for educational purposes only. Never use results to self-diagnose or replace professional medical advice.
Commercial Purposes
You may not use the Service for commercial purposes without our express written consent.
Data Mining
You may not scrape, data mine, or use automated systems to collect information from the Service.
Impersonation
You may not impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
6Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Metabolicum and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Our Content
All text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software are the property of Metabolicum or its content suppliers.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any health data you input. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store and process this data to provide the Service.
Trademarks
"Metabolicum" and the Metabolicum logo are trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

Not Medical Advice
Metabolicum provides health calculators for educational and informational purposes only. The TG/HDL ratio, HOMA-IR score, WHtR, and other calculations are NOT medical diagnoses.
- Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical advice
- Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read or calculated on this Service
- If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately
- The Service does not recommend or endorse any specific tests, physicians, products, procedures, or opinions
- Reliance on any information provided by the Service is solely at your own risk
8Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- We do not warrant that the results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
- We do not warrant that any errors in the Service will be corrected
- No advice or information obtained from the Service shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms
9Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Metabolicum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Any health decisions you make based on information from the Service
Liability Cap: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve (12) months, or $50, whichever is greater.
10Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Metabolicum and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property rights
- Any claim that your use of the Service caused damage to a third party
11Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:
- Breach of these Terms
- Conduct that we believe is harmful to other users or the Service
- Conduct that we believe is illegal or may expose us to liability
- At your request (you can delete your account at any time)
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- We may delete your account and all associated data
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive
12Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
For users outside the United States: You agree that any legal action shall be brought in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of courts located in California.
13Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
For material changes, we will also notify registered users via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
